Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
29 - 12 - 3, fighting out of London, Sean Quinn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Chael Sauna! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Steven Brown and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A jab from Quinn misses. Quinn takes a swing at Sauna's ribcage but misses. Sauna dives in and scores a takedown into Quinn's guard. Sauna pushing down on Quinn's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Sauna is looking for a kimura but Quinn is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sauna to get the leverage. Sauna wants to control but Quinn is keeping him busy. Quinn knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sauna on the ground. Sauna working the head and body with strikes. Quinn tries to roll over but Sauna keeps him under control. Sauna seems to be working for a kimura but Quinn defends the submission attempt. Quinn wants to improve his position but Sauna is controlling well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Quinn is staying active underneath Sauna, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Quinn keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Sauna not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Sauna has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Sauna throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Quinn to regain full guard. Quinn preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Sauna trying to control the position from guard on top but Quinn is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Quinn might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Sauna missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Quinn has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Sauna postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Sauna throwing strikes but missing. Quinn keeping moving, preventing Sauna from controlling successfully. Quinn on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Quinn tries to get out of the position. Sauna throws a big right hand that misses.

Sauna postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Quinn is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Sauna, into his guard. Sauna is trying to keep Quinn in close.

Sean Quinn has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Sauna throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Quinn counters with a nice uppercut. Quinn bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Sauna throws a looping overhand right but Quinn ducks down to avoid it. Sauna throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Quinn. Jab by Sauna. Sauna fails with a takedown attempt. Sauna shoots in and drives through. Quinn sprawls well. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Quinn comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Quinn misses with an uppercut. Sauna saw that one coming. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sauna uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Quinn has time to react. Sauna connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Quinn's hands. Sauna lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Quinn is rocked! Chael Sauna seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sauna drops Quinn with a big left hand and mounts him. Quinn is in big trouble! Oh Quinn is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Whack. That's a big, big shot from Sauna! Quinn is out cold! This one is all over!
