Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lewis Uchida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Micheal Doratukus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lewis Uchida! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Micheal Doratukus! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Sano and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Doratukus gets tackled into the cage by Uchida. Uchida maintains the clinch. Doratukus looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Uchida looks to throw an elbow but misses. Doratukus trying to stall but Uchida improves his position.
Uchida lands a right hand that snaps the head of Doratukus backwards. Doratukus wants to break the clinch but can't.
Doratukus prevents a takedown attempt there.
Uchida pressing his opponent against the cage. Uchida jumps guard and drags Doratukus to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Uchida looking for a sweep. Not yet Uchida, not yet. Uchida is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Doratukus presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Doratukus drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Uchida lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
That's one minute gone in the round. Doratukus has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Doratukus fails to pull guard.
Uchida wants to take the fight to the mat but Doratukus manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Doratukus is trying to pull guard but Uchida turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Lewis Uchida has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Micheal Doratukus. Uchida's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Uchida takes the fight into the clinch. Uchida pulls Doratukus into guard.
Uchida is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Uchida is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Uchida controlling his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Doratukus felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Uchida will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Uchida looking to finish with strikes here!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Uchida working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Uchida sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Doratukus avoids a series of strikes thrown by Uchida.
Doratukus holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Uchida tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Uchida throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Doratukus because Uchida loaded up on that one. Uchida takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Uchida thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Uchida looking to finish Doratukus with some ground and pound. This is bad for Doratukus! Uchida tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Uchida jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Doratukus manages to avoid the submission attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lewis Uchida dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Doratukus slaps away a takedown attempt from Uchida, before circling back to the center of the mat. Doratukus is looking to clinch but Uchida is avoiding it.
Uchida moves in looking to clinch but Doratukus pushes him off. Uchida shoots in but Doratukus avoids the takedown attempt easily. Uchida on the wrong end of a nice jab. Micheal Doratukus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Uchida shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Doratukus as he jumps to the side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lewis Uchida. That's going to take a lot out of him. Uchida wants to clinch. Doratukus is breathing heavily. Uchida connects with a nice looking jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Uchida lands a head kick!
Doratukus fails with the takedown. Uchida scores with a kick to the body.
Uchida throws a nice inside leg kick. Uchida changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Doratukus tries to avoid it but Uchida manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Doratukus to the ground. Doratukus escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Uchida swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Doratukus. Uchida thows a body shot but no joy. No luck for Uchida with that takedown attempt. Uchida misses with a takedown attempt - Doratukus sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Uchida is looking to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Doratukus tries to keep at a distance but Uchida has taken the fight into the clinch. Uchida leaning his opponent against the cage. Uchida manages to break the clinch.
Doratukus misses with a series of wild punches.
Uchida closes the distance and clinches up with Doratukus, looking for a takedown. Uchida pushes Doratukus against the cage but Doratukus circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Uchida tries to close the distance and clinch but Doratukus swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Doratukus fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Lewis Uchida is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Uchida throws a series of punches but Doratukus moves out of range. Uchida throws a nice outside leg kick. Uchida fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Doratukus has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Uchida moves into range and clinches up with Doratukus. Uchida drags the fight down to the ground.
Doratukus got a little sloppy there for a moment and Uchida has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Doratukus has managed to get both his arms back between Uchida's legs - danger averted. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Uchida is adopting a defensive guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Uchida looking for a sweep. Not yet Uchida, not yet. Uchida working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Doratukus doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Doratukus manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Uchida lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Doratukus! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Doratukus keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lewis Uchida dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Uchida throws a series of punches but Doratukus avoids them all with ease. Doratukus shoots in for a takedown but Uchida shows good takedown defense. Uchida dives in for a single leg takedown but Doratukus sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Uchida manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Uchida pushes Doratukus off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Doratukus slips a jab and a cross from Uchida.
Horrible takedown by Uchida or perhaps it was just good defense by Doratukus which made him look bad. Uchida misses with the combination.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Doratukus takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
That's one minute gone in the round. Uchida turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Uchida is trying hard to land a takedown here. Doratukus sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lewis Uchida. That's going to take a lot out of him. Uchida closes the distance looking to clinch and Doratukus counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Doratukus closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Uchida's guard. Uchida not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Uchida keeping moving, preventing Doratukus from controlling successfully. Doratukus wants to stand and escape but instead Uchida has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Uchida is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Doratukus really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Uchida. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Uchida slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sloppy strikes there by Uchida. Uchida decides to take the fight back to the feet. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Uchida shoots in for a takedown but Doratukus shows good takedown defense.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Uchida tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Doratukus defends well and Uchida ends up having to push Doratukus into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Uchida struggles to land a body shot inside as Doratukus controls his hands.
Doratukus lands with a short shot to the head. Doratukus is looking to break free of the clinch but Uchida has double underhooks. Uchida ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Uchida no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Uchida keeping moving, preventing Doratukus from controlling successfully. Doratukus wanted to stand there but Uchida had control of the position. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Uchida holds on and takes a little breather.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Doratukus trying to control but Uchida is working from the bottom. Uchida tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Micheal Doratukus was stalling too much, according to the referee. Uchida gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Uchida is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Doratukus to keep the fight standing. Doratukus is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Uchida is defending well. Doratukus can't find room to land a body shot as Uchida controls the action.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Doratukus tries to pull guard but Uchida holds him up against the cage and eventually Doratukus drops back down to his feet.
Uchida breaks the clinch.
And that's the end of the fight! Lewis Uchida showed his dominance in that final round. Well Uchida has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
