Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Artie Lange (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Renne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lange's entrance music is ACDC-You Shook Me(All Night Long). A fine choice. Artie Lange has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Artie Lange!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Nick Renne!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Renne closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Lange quickly recovers to half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Lange moves into full guard.
Lange preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Lange looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Renne puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Lange moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Renne got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lange has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Renne has managed to get both his arms back between Lange's legs - danger averted.
Lange keeping moving, preventing Renne from controlling successfully.
Renne postures up and lands a big shot to Lange's brow.
Lange can't keep his opponent in guard - Renne advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Renne is looking to take a break and control but Lange is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Lange really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Renne lands a nice short elbow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Renne must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Renne is looking to work some ground and pound but Lange has wrist control.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Renne throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Lange can't do much from the bottom here.
Renne wants to take a breather but Lange manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Renne.

Renne throws an elbow that misses. Lange uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Renne's guard. Nice move by Lange!

Lange gets to his feet. Renne looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

We've been informed that Renne has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Lange instigates a clinch.
Renne is trying to push Lange away but Lange has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Lange pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Lange gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lange not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Renne sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Lange's guard.
Renne trying to pass the guard but Lange defending well.
Lange wants to control but Renne is keeping busy and won't allow it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Renne lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Lange is looking for a sweep. Renne is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nick Renne dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Lange has taken the fight to the clinch.

Renne wants to get back to his feet.
Lange tries to pass to full mount but Renne defends it.

Well, if Lange is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Lange winds up and cracks Renne with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Lange is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Renne sees it coming and defends easily.

Lange is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Lange is looking for a kimura but Renne is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lange to get the leverage.

Renne is looking to control Lange's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Renne avoid being mounted?
Lange seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Renne does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Renne tries to roll over but Lange keeps him under control.
Lange tries to stand but can't do so whilst Renne controls his leg.

Lange thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Renne's head.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Lange looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Lange wants to lay and pray for a moment but Renne keeps working.
Lange is stalling here. Renne is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Lange seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Renne has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Lange is trying to improve his position.
Lange wants to control but Renne postures up.

Lange tightens his grip and picks Renne up, before dumping him to the ground. Renne manages to land in guard.
Nick Renne has got the better of the ground game so far.
Lange passes Renne's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are battling for position here. Renne manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Renne looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Lange looking to sit in guard and control but Renne gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Renne wants to pass the guard but Lange is keeping the position.

Lange has his feet on Renne's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Lange darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Lange is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Renne defends it well.
Lange is trying to control the action in half guard but Renne is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Lange content to control rather than advance.
Renne pushes Lange off looking to stand but Lange dives back in and keeps control.

Lange seems to be looking for submissions.
Renne keeping hold of Lange's head, controlling as best he can.

Lange is looking to take a break and control but Renne is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Artie Lange just wasn't active enough.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Renne has picked Lange up - he's going for a ride! Renne dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Renne slips a nice elbow through Lange's hands, connecting with Lange's forehead.
Lange is trying to maintain the position but Renne is very close to passing his half guard.

Lange is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Lange regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Renne.

Lange had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Renne defends it easily.
Renne works over Lange with some ground and pound from guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lange is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

And that's the end of the fight!
Artie Lange showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Lange has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
