Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jamison Hebert!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Decimus Maximus!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, John Mangel and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hebert shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Maximus as he avoids it easily.
Maximus closes the distance and clinches.
Hebert trying to land knees to the body.
Maximus throws an elbow but it misses.
Hebert avoids the elbow strike from Maximus, against the cage.
Maximus misses with an elbow strike.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Maximus just misses with a elbow thrown towards Hebert's brow.
Maximus pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Hebert manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Maximus must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Maximus would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Hebert manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Maximus's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Hebert cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Maximus really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hebert. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hebert lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Maximus wants to get back to his feet.
Hebert has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Maximus's face.
Hebert lands with some strikes.

Hebert is landing with some decent strikes but Maximus is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Hebert is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Maximus. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Hebert has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hebert lands punches and elbows.
Maximus holding both Hebert 's hands and preventing any damage.
Hebert is punishing Maximus with some ground and pound.
Oooh a big shot gets through from Hebert. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
Hebert is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Maximus with him. Maximus is trying to defend but Hebert has an arm under the chin now! Maximus grimaces and is forced to tap out!
