The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacDaddy dives in and grabs Love's left leg, looking for a takedown. Love pushes down on MacDaddy's head and hops out.
Love shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as MacDaddy sprawls well. MacDaddy wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Love gets slowly back to his feet.
MacDaddy is looking to clinch but Love is avoiding it.

MacDaddy drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Love struggling a bit here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

MacDaddy working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Love on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Love tries to get out of the position.

Love manages to work his way to half guard, despite MacDaddy's best efforts.

Love has control of MacDaddy's left arm, preventing MacDaddy from doing any damage.
MacDaddy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Love swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Love pulls MacDaddy in to control the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Love decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in MacDaddy's guard.

MacDaddy throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Love escapes and throws MacDaddy's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Love in side control lands a decent elbow.
MacDaddy takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Love controls the position.

Love stands up and beckons MacDaddy to his feet.
MacDaddy defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Love.
MacDaddy fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Love avoids it really well and circles away.
Orlando Love has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Scottie MacDaddy.
MacDaddy tries to land a body kick

and Love counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Love really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
