Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Phil Solomon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Winkle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Phil Solomon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Robert Winkle! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Winkle bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Solomon is being controlled here. Winkle tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Winkle has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Solomon can't do much from the bottom here. Solomon is not content to let Winkle control the position. The ground and pound from Winkle seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. A lull in the action here as Winkle stalls from top position. Winkle in side control, throwing shots but Solomon defends. Winkle misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Solomon really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Winkle tries for a kimura but Solomon is defending well. Winkle staying calm.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Winkle stands up and we're back to a striking position. Winkle pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Winkle closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Winkle is keen to just control but Solomon is a slippery customer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Winkle slows the pace down in half guard. Winkle wants to free his trapped foot but Solomon is holding on for dear life with his legs. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Winkle moves into full mount! Solomon won't be happy about that! Winkle can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Solomon is looking to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Winkle looking to ground and pound but Solomon is blocking nicely. Winkle content just to control the position here. Winkle throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Solomon tries to lock up and control but Winkle gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Winkle is standing up, even though he is in mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Robert Winkle dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Winkle throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Solomon tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Winkle is in Solomon's guard. Solomon will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Winkle working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Solomon's head. Winkle's corner is telling him to maintain position. Winkle is looking to work some ground and pound but Solomon has wrist control. Winkle pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Solomon is keeping the position for now. Winkle gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Solomon slips a jab and a cross from Winkle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Winkle gets a takedown into half guard. Winkle trying to control from half guard but Solomon is working away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Winkle moves nicely into side control. Winkle throws an elbow but Solomon slips to the side and avoids it well. Solomon is being controlled here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Winkle tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Winkle is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Solomon knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Solomon stops Winkle from passing to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Solomon struggling a bit here. Robert Winkle has got the better of the ground game so far. Winkle tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Solomon can't do much from the bottom here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Winkle is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Solomon knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Winkle stands up and beckons Solomon to his feet. Winkle fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Solomon, pushing him back against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Robert Winkle showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Winkle moves into the clinch. Winkle is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Solomon is defending well for now. Winkle wants the takedown. Solomon is fighting it off but Winkle persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Solomon's guard against the cage. Winkle slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Winkle trying to control but Solomon is working from the bottom. Winkle throwing strikes from guard but Solomon blocks nicely. Solomon keeping full guard, as Winkle tries to pass.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Robert Winkle hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Winkle closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Solomon quickly recovers to half guard. Solomon wants to improve his position but Winkle is controlling well.
Solomon is in trouble now - Winkle has advanced to mount! Winkle controlling his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Solomon keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Winkle sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Winkle looking to finish with strikes here!
Winkle lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
It looks like Phil Solomon has been cut.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Winkle controlling the pace for now. Solomon wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Winkle.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Winkle is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Solomon has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Solomon! Winkle pulls Solomon in close to prevent any damage. Winkle is trying to keep Solomon in close.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Robert Winkle wasn't active enough on the ground. Winkle shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! Solomon is on queer street and Winkle is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!
