Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tracy Ball! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Luke Burne! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A nice combination there by Burne.
Burne fails to land with a series of punches.
Ball really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Sloppy strikes from Burne. Those never looked like landing. Burne misses with a few strikes there.
Ball thows a body kick. Burne tries to catch it but that hurt him. Ball shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Ball throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Burne throws a left and a right that both miss
and Ball counters by clinching up. A head punch on the inside from Burne fails to land. Burne is trying to break free. Ball pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Ball tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Burne defends well and Ball ends up having to push Burne into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Ball misses with some punches.
Burne wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Ball has him pressed against the cage. Burne wants to break the clinch but can't.

That's one minute gone in the round. Burne throws a right hand that Ball ducks under and follows up with a left that Ball also avoids with ease. A nice inside leg kick there by Ball. That's going to slow Burne down. Burne fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Ball dives in for a single leg takedown but Burne sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Burne tries to throw a body punch but Ball avoids it by throwing Burne back against the cage. Burne tries to break the clinch but Ball is controlling the position. Ball breaks from the clinch.

Burne throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ball. Ball is looking to clinch. Burne displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Burne fails to land with a series of punches.
Ball shoots in but no luck this time. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Burne lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ball circles away quickly and effectively. Burne misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ball fails with a takedown attempt. Burne keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Ball. Burne throws a series of punches but Ball avoids them all with ease. Burne rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ball moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Burne slaps away a takedown attempt from Ball, before circling back to the center of the mat. Burne looks to land a combination but Ball avoids it well. Burne throws a right and a left that Ball avoids nicely. Burne circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ball shoots in for a takedown but Burne shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Ball is breathing heavily. Ball throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.

Burne keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. A nice leg kick lands there from Ball. Burne works over Ball's head and body with a nice combination.
Ball is rocked! A combination from Burne does no damage. Oh Ball is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Burne throws a series of punches but Ball moves out of range. Burne throws a series of punches but Ball avoids them all with ease. Ball fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Burne avoids it really well and circles away. Burne misses with a jab, cross combination.

Ball seems to have got his legs back now. Burne will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Burne swats away the attempt to clinch by Ball. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A combination from Burne does no damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ball takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ball has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Burne uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Ball has time to react. Burne swinging wildly here.
Burne is breathing heavily. Ball darts in looking for a takedown but Burne gets double underhooks and turns Ball into the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tracy Ball. Burne is trying to force a seperation but Ball has the dominant position. A frustrated look appears on Burne's face as he tries to break the clinch. Ball lands a knee to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Burne scores with a hook to the body. Ball keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Burne's efforts to push away. Burne digs a right hand into Ball's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Ball's gas tank. Ball tries to pull guard but Burne holds him up against the cage and eventually Ball drops back down to his feet.

Burne lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Ball backwards. Burne lands with a short head shot on the inside. Ball keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Burne's efforts to push away. Burne is trying to push Ball away but Ball has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Burne can't break the clinch.

A head kick misses from Ball. No luck for Ball with that takedown attempt. Ball tries to score a power double leg takedown but Burne sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ball somewhat.

Ball fails with a takedown attempt. Burne lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Burne fails to land with a series of punches.
Burne throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Ball's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Burne dives in looking to finish as Ball flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Burne's strikes! Burne is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Ball's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Ball was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Luke Burne! Luke Burne was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
