The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boykin looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Boykin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Priest pinned against the ropes. Priest gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A solid leg kick lands there for Priest.

and Priest makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Johnny Priest has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dimentiy Boykin.
Boykin tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Priest defends well and Boykin ends up having to push Priest into the ropes where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Boykin tries to pull guard but Priest holds him up against the ropes and eventually Boykin drops back down to his feet.

Boykin has Priest pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Priest manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
