The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Vladimir Khabensky and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murphy connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Reeves thuds his right hand into Murphy's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Reeves misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Reeves misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Murphy shoots in but Reeves avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Murphy looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Reeves is fending him off so far but Murphy persists. Nope, Reeves circles away and we're back to standing.
Murphy showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Reeves.
Murphy tries to close the distance and clinch but Reeves swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Reeves throws a series of punches but Murphy moves out of range.

Murphy gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Reeves counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Norman Reeves has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Micky Murphy.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Reeves thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Murphy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Reeves. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Reeves drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Murphy manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Reeves has Murphy in his guard.
Reeves has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Murphy tries to stand but Reeves is controlling from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Reeves looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Murphy trying to control the position from guard on top but Reeves is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Reeves has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Murphy should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Reeves has tightened it up now! Murphy should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
