Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Abraham Kurse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manuel Fernandes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kurse's entrance music is Radioactive - Imagine Dragons. A fine choice. Abraham Kurse could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Manuel Fernandes's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Abraham Kurse!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Felipe Paraventi and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fernandes has taken the fight to the clinch.
Kurse is looking to take this one to the mat.
Fernandes manages to break the clinch.
Kurse looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Fernandes wants to land a leg kick but Kurse is out of range.
Fernandes moves out of range of the strikes.
Kurse throws a hook to the side of Fernandes's head but Fernandes sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Fernandes moves away from the strike by Kurse.
Kurse misses with a looping left.
Fernandes shoots for a takedown but Kurse saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Fernandes doesn't manage to clinch there - Kurse circles away.
Fernandes tries to bum rush Kurse with a series of wild strikes but Kurse uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kurse thows a body shot but no joy.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kurse throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Fernandes drives through with a takedown into guard.
Kurse has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Fernandes can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Fernandes tries to stand but Kurse is controlling from the bottom.
Kurse has his foot on Fernandes's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Fernandes works his way back into a safe position though.
Kurse is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Fernandes has his hands clasped together but Kurse extends and breaks Fernandes's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Kurse.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Abraham Kurse!
After winning the bout, Abraham Kurse thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
