Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Clay Guida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Newsom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guida moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Guida moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Some wild striking there from Newsom.
Newsom swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Newsom tries to clinch up
and Guida counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Guida closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Guida moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Guida is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Newsom looks calm but he's in trouble here. Guida gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Newsom is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Guida lets go of the hold and Newsom can pop his arm back in it's socket.
