Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chad Sugden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Trig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Sugden might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to I'm shipping up to Boston. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chad Sugden!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Trig!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Sugden, as that shot connected.
Sugden throws a right hand that Trig ducks under and follows up with a left that Trig also avoids with ease.
Sugden swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Sugden connects with a crisp jab.
Sugden definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Nice shot by Sugden.
Sugden lands a nice looking body shot.
Trig avoids the head kick by Sugden.
Sugden tries to move into range but Trig moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.


It looks like Chad Sugden has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sugden throws a lazy right hand but Trig sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Sugden avoids the body shot from Trig.
Sugden on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Sugden doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Trig counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Sugden is breathing heavily.
Trig throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Trig's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Sugden connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Trig scrambles back to his feet.
Sugden avoids the head kick by Trig.

Trig closes the distance and clinches.

Trig breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Sugden cracks Trig with a right hand to the side of the head.

Trig closes the distance and pushes Sugden back into the cage.

A frustrated look appears on Sugden's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Trig lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Trig breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A cross from Trig lands.
Sugden moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Sugden swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Sugden misses with a few strikes there.

Trig clinches up with Sugden and pushes him back against the cage.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Trig.

Trig dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Sugden lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Good standup being displayed there by Trig as he connects with a hook.
Sugden is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Trig throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sugden.
Trig drops his hands momentarily and Sugden takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Sugden looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Trig throws a series of punches but Sugden avoids them all with ease.

Trig tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Sugden manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Frank Trig seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Trig has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Sugden.
Trig is still on wobbly legs! Can Sugden finish him?
Sugden lands with a nice body kick.
Trig seems to have recovered his senses.
Sugden bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Trig's head backwards.
It's a brutal combination of punches from Sugden! Trig is backing up but he can't get away as Sugden lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Trig and ends the fight. Great knockout.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Chad Sugden!
In his post fight interview, Chad Sugden started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
