The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGraf shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Defensor as he avoids it easily.
McGraf shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Defensor but Defensor pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Defensor misses with a two punch combination.
Defensor fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with McGraf, pushing him back against the ropes.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for McGraf. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

McGraf blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
McGraf jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Defensor walks away with a smile on his face. McGraf gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

McGraf tries to clinch up but Defensor circles away and keeps his distance.
McGraf gets tackled into the ropes by Defensor. Defensor maintains the clinch.
McGraf fails to pull guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Defensor pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Defensor avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Defensor throws a head kick but McGraf moves out of range.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from McGraf lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Defensor has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Defensor and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

McGraf shoots in looking for a takedown. Defensor tries to sprawl out of it but McGraf keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Defensor manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
McGraf shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than McGraf was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Defensor tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

The referee calls for Defensor to work.
Defensor lands an elbow inside that McGraf shrugs off.
Allan McGraf's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Defensor manages to break the clinch.
Defensor lands a left and a right that send McGraf crashing to the mat, dazed. Defensor thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Allan McGraf is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
McGraf shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Defensor defends it nicely.

Defensor breaks from the clinch.
Defensor throws a right and a left that both miss.
Defensor feints with a jab and clips McGraf right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! McGraf is sent crashing into the canvas and Defensor leaps in for the kill! McGraf tries to get to his feet but Defensor is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that McGraf is in need of a savior and steps in!
