The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brudasek throws a right hand that Statham ducks under and follows up with a left that Statham also avoids with ease.

Statham shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Statham won't allow Brudasek to sweep him here.

Brudasek has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Statham can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Statham looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Brudasek with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Brudasek has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Statham is working away from the top position though.
