Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Grant Norris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bayden Wood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Norris's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, The Night by Kromestatik. Wood comes into a darkened arena with his song building. 1 hitta quitta 3 6 mafia kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Grant Norris! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bayden Wood! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wood rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Norris moves out of range and avoids them all easily. A slow jab from Wood misses its intended target. Norris swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Norris misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Wood shoots in for a takedown but Norris shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Norris bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Norris misses with a double jab
letting Wood counter with a right hand. Wood looks to land a combination. Norris sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
It looks like Grant Norris has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Wood misses with a head kick.
Norris lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
It looks like Bayden Wood has been cut. Wood takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wood closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Norris did well to prevent Wood getting side control. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Wood is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Norris wants to get back to full guard but Wood has mounted him! Wood has hold of Norris's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Norris manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Wood is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Norris can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Wood goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Norris turns into him and now he's in Wood's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wood is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Wood bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Norris's guard. Norris is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Wood gets to his feet - Norris follows without any prompting. A slapping leg kick lands for Wood.
Wood throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wood fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Wood fails to land with a series of punches.

Wood shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Wood throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Wood pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Norris lands a big head kick that sends Wood tumbling to the mat! Norris takes a step backwards and waves Wood back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Wood is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Norris goes for a small jab and connects. Now Norris goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Wood stumbles back but Norris runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Wood to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Wood will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Grant Norris! Grant Norris took to the mic in his post fight interview and said 'I've worked a long time to get to this position in my career and being able to hold gold in this sport? Priceless. This belt isn't going anywhere. '.
