Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Smolder Stoner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Elias Al Haddad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Smolder Stoner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Elias Al Haddad! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Al Haddad has Stoner up against the cage in a clinch.
Stoner can't break the clinch.
Al Haddad lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Stoner backwards. Stoner tries to pull guard but Al Haddad forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Al Haddad wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Stoner blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Stoner pulls guard effortlessly. Al Haddad is looking to work some ground and pound but Stoner has wrist control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stoner has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Al Haddad can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Stoner looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Stoner working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Al Haddad doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Al Haddad manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Al Haddad loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Stoner bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Al Haddad's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stoner stops Al Haddad from standing up. Stoner tries to free his leg and advance position but Al Haddad is retaining full guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Stoner's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Al Haddad really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Stoner. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Al Haddad thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Stoner stopping the sweep attempt from Al Haddad. Stoner throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Al Haddad works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Stoner scoring with some ground and pound. Stoner distracts Al Haddad with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Stoner won't allow Al Haddad to sweep him here. Stoner landing some decent shots from guard. Al Haddad utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. We've been hearing that Stoner has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Stoner tries to free his leg and advance position but Al Haddad is retaining full guard. Stoner is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Al Haddad trying to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Stoner won't allow Al Haddad to sweep him here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stoner trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Stoner has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Al Haddad is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Stoner is working Al Haddad over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Al Haddad keeping moving, preventing Stoner from controlling successfully. Al Haddad doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Stoner accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Stoner throwing strikes from guard but Al Haddad blocks nicely. Stoner scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Stoner keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Al Haddad's head. Al Haddad wants to stand up but Stoner is controlling him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Al Haddad is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Stoner is aware though and is defending well. Al Haddad trying to control the position.

Al Haddad utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Stoner thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Al Haddad is trying to keep Stoner in close.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Al Haddad is looking to stand up but Stoner isn't so interested in that idea. Al Haddad is trying to keep Stoner in close.
Al Haddad is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Stoner cracks Al Haddad with a solid left hand. Stoner slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Al Haddad looking for a sweep. Not yet Al Haddad, not yet. Stoner scoring with punches to the head and body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Stoner keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Al Haddad's head. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Stoner sitting in guard here, content to control. Stoner content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Stoner accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Smolder Stoner dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Stoner shoots in looking for a takedown but Al Haddad manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Stoner's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Al Haddad misses with a low kick. Al Haddad throws a jab when Stoner was well out of range. A punch combination from Al Haddad misses. Stoner wants to clinch. Al Haddad will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Al Haddad throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Stoner moves out of range of the leg kick from Al Haddad. Stoner takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Al Haddad connects with a jab. Stoner defending well as Al Haddad loads up on a big left hand. Elias Al Haddad seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jab by Al Haddad. Al Haddad tries to clinch up but Stoner circles away and keeps his distance. The fighters circling - Al Haddad throws out the jab but it was never going to land. A big right from Al Haddad misses. Al Haddad bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Elias Al Haddad is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Al Haddad throws a body punch but Stoner moves out of range. Stoner fails in his attempt to clinch. Al Haddad's coach down at Midnight MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Al Haddad's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Stoner dodges the punch combination from Al Haddad.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Stoner ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Al Haddad waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Stoner. Al Haddad throws a right and a left that Stoner avoids nicely. Al Haddad falls off balance throwing a combination
and Stoner counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Al Haddad trying to hold on to Stoner's head to control him but Stoner postures up.
Stoner frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Stoner working for a submission but Al Haddad is keeping him at bay. Stoner working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stoner raining down shots from the mount! Stoner connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Stoner fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Al Haddad regains half guard. Stoner seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Al Haddad pushes Stoner off looking to stand but Stoner dives back in and keeps control.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Al Haddad wants to get back to his feet. Stoner is working for a submission of some sort.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Stoner throwing shots but Al Haddad is blocking nicely. Stoner tries to pass to full mount but Al Haddad defends it. Stoner takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Stoner lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Al Haddad punching from the bottom.
Stoner looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Smolder Stoner dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Al Haddad throws a head kick but Stoner moves out of range.
Al Haddad misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Nice sprawl there from Al Haddad as Stoner shoots in. Al Haddad moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. That's one minute gone in the round. Al Haddad tries to bum rush Stoner with a series of wild strikes but Stoner uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Al Haddad lands a nice shot that snaps Stoner's head back.
Al Haddad stalks Stoner and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Stoner's face. Stoner staggers backwards, shaken. Al Haddad slips a jab and a cross from Stoner.
Al Haddad stuffs the takedown attempt from Stoner. Stoner gets slowly back to his feet. Nice shot by Al Haddad. Stoner dodges the punch combination from Al Haddad.
Al Haddad takes a swing at Stoner's ribcage but misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Al Haddad jabs at Stoner's body. Al Haddad tries to score with a low kick but Stoner moves his leg out of the way. Stoner closes this distance looking for a takedown but Al Haddad circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Smolder Stoner. That's going to take a lot out of him. Stoner ducks under a wild hook from Al Haddad. Stoner throws a combination. Al Haddad tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Stoner on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Al Haddad stuffs the takedown attempt from Stoner. Stoner gets slowly back to his feet. Stoner avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Al Haddad misses with a series of wild punches.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Al Haddad lands a nice looking body shot.

and Stoner counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Al Haddad swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Stoner avoids the head kick by Al Haddad.
Horrible takedown by Stoner or perhaps it was just good defense by Al Haddad which made him look bad. Smolder Stoner is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Al Haddad misses with the combination.
The fighters circle momentarily. Al Haddad darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Al Haddad wants to clinch and Stoner counters with a takedown into side control. You can see the frustration on Al Haddad's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Al Haddad is not content to let Stoner control the position. Elias Al Haddad has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Al Haddad manages to get back to half guard. Stoner with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Elias Al Haddad comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Stoner has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
