Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jonatan Jose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jakkrit Panomthep (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Panomthep has chosen Field of Dreams - Bliss N Eso ft. Paris Wells as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Panomthep misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Panomthep misses with a takedown attempt and Jose counters with a takedown into side control. The ground and pound from Jose seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Panomthep is working to avoid the ground and pound but Jose connects with a decent elbow. Panomthep parries the strikes from Jose easily there. Jose is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Panomthep to escape.
Panomthep sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Jose frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jose controlling from mount. Jose lands a big shot there that rocks Panomthep but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Panomthep tries to hold on but Jose postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Panomthep sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jose controlling the pace. Jose seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Jose prevents Panomthep from improving his position. Jose wants to pass to mount but Panomthep is defending the position. It looks like Jose is going to stand back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Panomthep manages to get to full guard.
Jose is looking to pass into half guard but Panomthep pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Panomthep is in guard. Jose looking for a guillotine here but Panomthep defends easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jose managing to control the position. Jose is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Jonatan Jose just wasn't active enough. No luck with that takedown attempt from Panomthep. Jonatan Jose has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jakkrit Panomthep.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jose drives through with a takedown into guard. Jose wants to stand and escape but instead Panomthep has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Panomthep sitting in guard here, content to control. Panomthep wants to stand but Jose has a closed guard, so he can't escape. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Panomthep wants to pass the guard but Jose is keeping the position. Jose stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jose wants it to stay on the feet. Panomthep shoots in for a double leg but Jose sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Jose throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Panomthep tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Jose is in Panomthep's guard. Jose trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Jose got a little sloppy there for a moment and Panomthep has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jose has managed to get both his arms back between Panomthep's legs - danger averted. Jose cracks Panomthep with a solid left hand. Jose is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Panomthep keeping moving, preventing Jose from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jose working some strikes from top position. Panomthep is looking for a triangle but Jose pushes his legs off easily.
Jose stopping the sweep attempt from Panomthep. Jose tries to stand but Panomthep is controlling from the bottom. Jose stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Panomthep swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jose wants to control from the top but Panomthep keeps moving. Jose sitting in guard here, content to control. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Panomthep keeping full guard, as Jose tries to pass.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Jonatan Jose wasn't doing enough on the ground. Jose looks to land a combination but Panomthep avoids it well. Jose drives through with a takedown into Panomthep's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jose stands up over Panomthep, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Jose wants to stand but Panomthep is controlling his posture from full guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Panomthep holds on and takes a little breather. Jose not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Jose trying to control but Panomthep is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Panomthep is trying to keep Jose in close.
We're going to have a standup here because Jonatan Jose wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Panomthep shoots and misses and Jose counters with a two punch combo. Jonatan Jose has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jakkrit Panomthep. Jose moves into the clinch successfully.
Panomthep fails to pull guard.
Panomthep is breathing heavily. Jose is trying to trip Panomthep. He has hold of a leg but Panomthep is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Jose persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Jose might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jose wants to control from the top but Panomthep keeps moving. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Panomthep tries to land a sweep but no joy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jonatan Jose dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Panomthep shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jose as he jumps to the side. Jose shoots in and gets a takedown into Panomthep's guard. Jose controls from within his opponent's guard. Panomthep looking for a sweep. Not yet Panomthep, not yet. Jose wants to stand and escape but instead Panomthep has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Jose managing to control the position.

Panomthep trying to control but Jose is working from the bottom. Panomthep is pushing down on Jose's leg trying to pass to half guard. Jose is fighting to maintain full guard but Panomthep has managed to sneak the leg through. Jose looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Jose actively working from the bottom here. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Jose is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Panomthep jumps into side control! Jose is not content to let Panomthep control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Panomthep controls the position. Panomthep wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Jose, who protects the arm well. Who's going to make the next move? Jose tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Panomthep trying to control the position but Jose is working away. Jose tries to buck Panomthep off but Panomthep is having none of it. Panomthep thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Panomthep trying to control the position but Jose is working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Panomthep wants to stand but Jose has his arm trapped. Jose tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Panomthep wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Jose manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Jose working over Panomthep with some ground and pound. Panomthep looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Jonatan Jose overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Panomthep slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jose wants to control from the top but Panomthep keeps moving.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jonatan Jose. Well Jose has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
