Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Big Boss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Big Boss!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, John Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Micheangelo Fripello and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Boss on the side of the head.
Anderson fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Boss fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Anderson, pushing him back against the cage.

Boss escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Anderson wants to clinch but Boss slips to the side

and Boss counters with a shoot takedown. Anderson fights it but they end up in guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Anderson throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Anderson keeping moving, preventing Boss from controlling successfully.
Anderson being controlled here, momentarily.
Boss trying to control but Anderson is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Big Boss.
Anderson works over Boss's head and body with a nice combination.
Anderson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Anderson catches Boss with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Anderson stuffs the takedown attempt from Boss. Boss gets slowly back to his feet.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Boss.
Anderson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Boss tries to avoid it but Anderson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Boss to the ground. Boss escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Anderson swinging wildly here.
Anderson has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Anderson throws a series of punches but Boss moves out of range.
Anderson moves in looking to clinch but Boss pushes him off.
Boss has his takedown stuffed
and Anderson counters with a straight right hand.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Big Boss. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Boss feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Boss is breathing heavily.

Boss trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Anderson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Boss trying to control the position from guard on top but Anderson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Anderson is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

We're going to have a standup here because Big Boss wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Boss decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Boss wants to stand up but Anderson has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Anderson pushes Boss off and gets back to his feet.
Boss will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Anderson fails to land the takedown.
Anderson tries to clinch but Boss is having none of it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Anderson closes the distance and clinches.

Anderson breaks from the clinch.
Anderson tries to clinch up but Boss circles away and keeps his distance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Anderson dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Boss feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Boss won't allow Anderson to get back to his feet.
Boss sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Anderson is looking to stand up but Boss isn't so interested in that idea.
Boss trying to control the position from guard on top but Anderson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Anderson connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Anderson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Boss stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Boss wants it to stay on the feet.
Anderson goes for a double leg but Boss avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Boss continues to drive forward.
Boss lands a knee to the head.


It looks like John Anderson has been cut.

Boss breaks from the clinch.
Anderson moves in looking to clinch but Boss pushes him off.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Anderson tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Boss holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Boss pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Boss throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
No luck for Boss with that takedown attempt.
Anderson tries for a takedown but Boss sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Big Boss has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Anderson.

Boss fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Anderson sprawls well initially but Boss persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Boss is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Anderson wants to get back to his feet.
Boss controlling his opponent.
Boss scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Anderson?

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Anderson is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boss takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Anderson is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Big Boss dominated that second round.
The cut man is working on John Anderson's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!



The fight moves into the clinch position.
Anderson wants to break the clinch but can't.
Boss fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Anderson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Boss walks away with a smile on his face. Anderson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Boss fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Anderson, pushing him back against the cage.

Anderson is fighting off a takedown attempt but Boss is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Anderson to the mat. Anderson regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Boss gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
John Anderson seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Anderson looks to clinch
and Boss counters with a left and a right that stings Anderson.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Anderson tries to clinch but Boss is having none of it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Anderson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Boss fails with the takedown.
Boss shoots in but Anderson avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Big Boss. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Danga de danga de dang - Anderson scores with a four punch combination!
Anderson tries to clinch up but Boss circles away and keeps his distance.

Anderson has closed the distance and engaged Boss in a clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Boss tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Anderson smiles and moves away.
Anderson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Boss moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Anderson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Boss fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Boss moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Anderson misses with a double jab.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Anderson lands a jab to Boss's midsection.
Anderson misses with a series of wild punches.
Anderson connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Boss's hands.
Anderson loads up on a big right hand but Boss slips the punch.
Anderson is looking to clinch but Boss is avoiding it.
Boss blocks a head kick by Anderson.
Boss looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Anderson is fending him off so far but Boss persists. Nope, Anderson circles away and we're back to standing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Anderson is looking to clinch but Boss is avoiding it.
Anderson connects with a body shot that sends Boss's belly button to the back.

Anderson clinches up against the cage.

Anderson has picked Boss up - he's going for a ride! Anderson dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Anderson is looking to take a break and control but Boss is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Anderson seems to be looking for submissions.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Anderson is keen to just control but Boss is a slippery customer.
Anderson is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

And that's the end of the fight!
John Anderson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Anderson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
