Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robert Pounder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabriel Andrew (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Andrew comes into a darkened arena with his song building. New Divide kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Robert Pounder has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Robert Pounder! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gabriel Andrew! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Skip Squint and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Andrew takes a body punch but keeps moving. Pounder moves in looking to clinch but Andrew pushes him off. Robert Pounder seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Andrew gets the takedown into side control. Pounder striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
Pounder strikes from the bottom but Andrew takes advantage and advances to full mount! Pounder tries to strike from the bottom but he's left himself exposed and Andrew has taken his back. Pounder is really stuck here.
Pounder trying to control the position but Andrew manages to sink in the hooks. Andrew controlling well, preventing Pounder from escaping the position.
Pounder trying to get back to his feet but Andrew is in full control for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pounder is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Andrew.

Pounder is breathing heavily. Andrew trying to control. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Pounder looking very determined here, making life difficult for Andrew.
Pounder tries to escape but Andrew has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Andrew controls the position. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Andrew struggling to keep hold of the position.
Pounder is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Despite being in the dominant position, Gabriel Andrew just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. No joy there for Pounder, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Good leg kick by Andrew there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Pounder throws a leg kick that is checked and Andrew counters with a lovely straight right hand! Pounder tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Andrew counters with a single leg into guard. Pounder didn't expect that. Pounder striking off his back but it's not causing Andrew any problems. Pounder striking off his back, scoring a few points. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Andrew slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Andrew trying to control but Pounder is working from the bottom. Pounder wants to hit a switch here but Andrew passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Pounder there! Andrew looking to control and managing it successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gabriel Andrew dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Pounder closes the distance but Andrew moves to the side and Andrew counters with a slapping leg kick. Pounder tries to close the distance and clinch up but Andrew swats him away and circles back towards the center. Andrew changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pounder tries to avoid it but Andrew manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pounder to the ground. Pounder escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Pounder swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

and Andrew counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Andrew is pushing down on Pounder's leg trying to pass to half guard. Pounder is fighting to maintain full guard but Andrew has managed to sneak the leg through. Andrew is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Andrew's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Pounder is trying to get back to full guard. Pounder throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Andrew manages to pass to side control. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Pounder tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Andrew works to advance to full mount. Pounder defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Andrew takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Pounder srikes from the bottom but he's lost position and has given up his back.
Andrew is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Andrew controlling the position well here. Pounder rolled but Andrew kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

That's one minute gone in the round. A lull in the action here as Andrew stalls from top position. Pounder tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Andrew presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Andrew controlling his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Pounder is looking to improve his position but Andrew isn't that keen on the idea. Andrew controlling from the full mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pounder reaches up to try and control the position but Andrew seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Pounder rolls and tries to escape and now Andrew has his back!

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Andrew shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Pounder's guard. Andrew trying to control but Pounder is working from the bottom. Andrew slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Andrew stopping the sweep attempt from Pounder. Robert Pounder has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Andrew works a leg free and moves into half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Gabriel Andrew comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Andrew winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
