Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rudolf Castile (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Castile lands with a straight right. Jones didn't see that one coming. Castile comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Castile throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jones sees it coming and avoids it easily. Castile throws a shot to the body.
Castile misses with a wild body shot. Castile throws a hook but Jones blocks it. Jones takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Castile works the jab nicely. Castile feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Joness jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Castile's jab looks to have found its range, popping Jones under the eye. Castile defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jones. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A left lands for Castile. A decent looking cross lands there for Castile. Castile misses with a body punch
letting Jones counter with a right hand. Some wild striking there from Castile.
Castile fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jones looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
That's one minute gone in the round. Castile throws a hook to the side of Jones's head but Jones sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Jones fails with a takedown attempt. Castile looks to throw the jab but Jones is out of range. Jones shoots in looking for a takedown but Castile manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jones's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Rudolf Castile has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carlos Jones. Castile digs a good body shot into Jones's ribs. Jones shoots in for a takedown but Castile shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Castile just misses with a punch to the body.
Jones is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Castile bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Jones's head backwards. Jones takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Castile misses the shot to the body.

Jones closes the distance and clinches up with Castile, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes Castile against the cage but Castile circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Jones walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jones is defended easily by Castile. This has been an exciting period of action! Jones moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Jones is trying desperately to land a takedown but Castile is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Jones. Jones tries to clinch there but Castile circles away.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up but Castile swats him away and circles back towards the center. Jones shoots in for a takedown but Castile shows good takedown defense. Castile misses with a few strikes there.
Castile rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jones moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Castile is breathing heavily. Jones shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Castile sprawls well. Castile wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jones gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Castile scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Jones tries to clinch but Castile is having none of it. Jones wants to clinch but Castile slips to the side and Castile connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Jones dives in for a single leg takedown but Castile sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Castile breaks the clinch.

Rudolf Castile is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Jones shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Castile as he avoids it easily. Castile stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Castile wants it to stay on the feet. Jones is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Castile's half guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Jones wants to pass the guard but Castile is defending well. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jones wants to stand up but Castile has a hold of him and won't allow it. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Castile is concentrating on defense, preventing Jones from advancing position. Jones is looking to take a break and control but Castile is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jones looks to land a combination but Castile avoids it well. Castile digs a good hook to Jones's body.
Jones shoots in but Castile avoids the takedown attempt easily. Rudolf Castile has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carlos Jones. Jones is breathing heavily. Jones takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Jones takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Jones uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Castile.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Castile content to stall in guard here. Jones is trying to control the position but Castile postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Castile is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Rudolf Castile. Nice sprawl there from Castile as Jones shoots in. Jones takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Jones takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Jones shoots for a takedown but Castile saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Jones looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Castile is fending him off so far but Jones persists. Nope, Castile circles away and we're back to standing. Castile scores with a decent looking hook. Jones takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Jones has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Castile swings and misses with a hook to the body.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Castile clobbers Jones with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Jones tries to clinch but Castile is having none of it. Castile loads up on a big right hand but Jones slips the punch. This has been an exciting period of action! Jones fails to land the takedown. Rudolf Castile is winning the standup battle so far. Castile thows a body shot but no joy. Jones wants to clinch and Castile counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Castile digs a good hook to Jones's body.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Castile paws at him with a jab and circles away. Castile avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Castile looks to throw the jab but Jones is out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rudolf Castile dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Jones looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Castile is fending him off so far but Jones persists. Nope, Castile circles away and we're back to standing. Castile connects with the punch. Jones misses with a few strikes there.

Jones shoots in but Castile avoids the takedown attempt easily. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jones on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Carlos Jones has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jones misses with a body kick.
And that's the end of the fight! Rudolf Castile showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Castile, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
