Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bob Henderson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Shen Woo! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Roosa Järviläinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Woo tries to clinch there but Henderson circles away.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Woo. Woo has managed to clinch.
Woo creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Henderson's defenses.
It looks like Bob Henderson has been cut. Henderson looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Woo manages to pull guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Henderson looking to pass the guard. Woo wants to get back to his feet but Henderson is in a dominant position and won't allow it. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Woo can do anything to dispel that myth. The fighters are working up against the cage. Woo manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Henderson is trying to break the clinch but Woo is controlling him. Henderson tries to break free but Woo pushes him back against the cage. Woo gets control of Henderson's arms and successfully pulls guard. Woo will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Woo thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Woo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Henderson wants to stand but Woo has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Henderson looking to sit in guard and control but Woo gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Woo gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Woo clinches. Woo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Woo fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Woo shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Henderson defends it nicely. Woo dives in for a single leg takedown but Henderson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Bob Henderson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shen Woo. Henderson manages to break the clinch.
Shen Woo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Henderson slaps away a takedown attempt from Woo, before circling back to the center of the mat. Woo tries to clinch but fails miserably and Henderson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Henderson fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Henderson changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Henderson scores with a hook to the body. Woo takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Henderson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Woo is looking to clinch. Henderson connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Woo misses with a takedown attempt - Henderson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Woo looks winded! Henderson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Woo tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Henderson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Henderson moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. We've been informed that Woo has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Henderson connects with the punch. Woo lands a nice shot to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Henderson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Woo.
Woo shoots in for a takedown but Henderson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. The fight stays on the outside here - Woo looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Henderson scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Woo tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Henderson swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Woo. Henderson keeps the fight on the outside. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Shen Woo will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Bob Henderson's cut. That's time! Henderson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Henderson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Henderson wants it to stay on the feet. Bob Henderson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Henderson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Woo manages to avoid it. Woo takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Woo shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Henderson defends it nicely. Woo looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Henderson looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Bob Henderson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shen Woo. Woo is breathing heavily. Henderson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Woo manages to avoid it.

Woo gets caught flat footed, as Henderson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Henderson trying to stand up but can't free himself from Woo's guard. Henderson prevents Woo from getting back to his feet. Henderson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Henderson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We're going to have a standup here because Bob Henderson wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Woo shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Henderson defends it nicely. Woo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Henderson is fending him off so far but Woo persists. Nope, Henderson circles away and we're back to standing. Henderson misses with a low kick. Woo fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Henderson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Henderson cracks Woo with an open hand slap. Woo misses with a wild body shot. Henderson is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Bob Henderson is winning the standup battle so far. Woo shoots in but Henderson avoids the takedown attempt easily. Henderson throws out a powerful jab. Henderson catches Woo with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Henderson dives in and grabs Woo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Woo pushes down on Henderson's head and hops out. Woo looks for a takedown but Henderson sprawls well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Woo avoids a punch combination nicely.
Henderson thuds a left hand into Woo's body. Henderson connects with a looping right hand.
Woo tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Henderson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Henderson slaps away a takedown attempt from Woo, before circling back to the center of the mat. Woo blocks a head kick by Henderson.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Woo takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Henderson clinches. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Woo takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Henderson jabs Woo to the body, keeping him at a distance.

That took the wind out of him momentarily. Henderson throws a leg kick but Woo checks it. Henderson swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Woo. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Henderson!
Henderson lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Henderson shoots in but no luck this time. Woo wants to clinch but Henderson slips to the side and Henderson counters with a nice body shot. Henderson lands with a right hand. Henderson moves into the clinch successfully.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Henderson wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Woo has him pressed against the cage. Woo turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Woo manages to end up in side control. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Henderson can't do much from the bottom here. Woo trying to control the position but Henderson is working away. Woo fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Henderson is trying to improve his position. You can see the frustration on Henderson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Woo postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Woo decides to stand up, so the ref orders Henderson to his feet. Woo wants to clinch. Woo shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Henderson defends it nicely. Henderson has managed to clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A short right from Woo. Woo lands a shoulder strike. Henderson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Woo tries to close the distance and clinch but Henderson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Henderson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. A battle for position here, against the cage. Henderson is trying to break the clinch but Woo has him pressed against the cage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Henderson wants to take the fight to the mat but Woo manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Henderson stops a takedown attempt from Woo.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bob Henderson. I think Henderson has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
