Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Doomsday Drost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kristow Zedski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Drost's entrance music is Kilpi - Sielut Iskee Tulta. A fine choice. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Doomsday Drost! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
22 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kristow Zedski! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Drost fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Drost fails with the takedown. We've been informed that Zedski has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Kristow Zedski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Drost connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Zedski momentarily.
Zedski throws a low kick but it's checked well by Drost. Drost with a lazy takedown attempt and Zedski counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
It looks like Doomsday Drost has been cut. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Doomsday Drost. That's going to take a lot out of him. Zedski misses with a hook
and Drost counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Drost. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Drost avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Zedski working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Drost doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Drost manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Drost accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Drost in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Zedski utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Drost loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Drost with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Zedski working a defensive guard but Drost passes into half guard.

Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Zedski works his way to full guard. Good work. Drost throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Zedski works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Zedski is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Drost is aware though and is defending well. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Drost is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Drost wants to control from the top but Zedski keeps moving. Drost postures up in Zedski's guard and throws a big left but Zedski blocks it. Drost missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Zedski is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Drost defends well. Drost chips away with some ground and pound. Drost will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Zedski makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Zedski. Drost preventing the sweep. Drost landing some decent shots from guard. Zedski tries to land a sweep but no joy. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Zedski utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Zedski is rocked! Drost postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Zedski covers up, he's hurt! Drost keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Drost and the ref steps in to end the fight! Drost can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
