Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sam Stout (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Albert Ward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sam Stout has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sam Stout! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Albert Ward! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ward wants to clinch but Stout slips to the side and Stout counters with a lovely shot to the body. Ward looks to clinch and Stout counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Ward thinking. Ward closes the distance but Stout moves to the side and Stout counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Ward thinking. A head kick misses from Stout. Stout closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Ward to the mat! Ward manages to get full guard. Stout stands up from guard. Let's bang! Ward tries to clinch and Stout counters with a nice double leg into guard. Ward is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Stout slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Stout drops back looking for a leg! Ward is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ward manages to kick Stout off! Stout jumps back into Ward's guard. Ward wants to stand and escape but Stout is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ward is looking for a triangle but Stout pushes his legs off easily.
Stout passes easily into side control. Nice work. Ward wants to get back to his feet but Stout drags him back down. Stout is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Ward will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Stout trying to control the position but Ward is working away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ward taking punishment in the form of punches.
Ward is trying to improve his position. Stout wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ward, who protects the arm well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stout tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Stout staying calm. Stout in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Ward on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stout works to advance to full mount. Ward defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Stout can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ward is looking to escape. Ward working to try and regain half guard.
Ward in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Stout looking to control and managing it successfully. Stout landing shots from mount. Stout lands a heavy elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stout prevents Ward from getting the reversal. Stout looking to control and managing it successfully. Ward is working to get back to half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Stout takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Stout can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ward is looking to escape. Ward is trying to escape the mount.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ward squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

Ward wants to control from the top but Stout keeps moving. Stout seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Ward trying to control the position from guard on top but Stout is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ward looking to pass the guard. Stout is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Stout looking to control.
Sam Stout has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Ward darts in trying to clinch and Stout counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

It looks like Albert Ward has been cut. Stout ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Stout no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Ward missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Stout pulls Ward in close to prevent any damage. Stout has his foot on Ward's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ward works his way back into a safe position though. Ward wants to control from the top but Stout keeps moving. Ward trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Stout preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Stout has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ward can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Stout looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ward is one step ahead there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stout throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ward's corner is telling him to maintain position. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Stout has his foot on Ward's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ward works his way back into a safe position though. Stout might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Ward pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Stout is keeping the position for now.

Ward is looking to clinch. Ward moves to clinch but Stout breaks away and Stout makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Stout fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Stout scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Ward wants to get back to his feet.
Stout scoring with strikes to the body and head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ward pushes Stout off looking to stand but Stout dives back in and keeps control.
Stout stands up out of the half guard. Ward gets tackled into the cage by Stout. Stout maintains the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sam Stout dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Albert Ward's cut. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Ward tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Stout counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Ward! Ward takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. A lull in the action here. Ward is pushing Stout's head away, looking to escape. Stout manages to hold on to the position though. Stout tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Stout has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Ward is looking to get back to his feet here but Stout is keeping cool and he's managed to take Ward's back. Ward tries to roll but Stout sticks to his back.
Ward takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stout controls the position. Stout not allowing Ward to control his hands. Sam Stout overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Stout lands a shot to the head. Stout is landing with strikes from the back. Stout lands shots from the back. Stout controls the action. Albert Ward has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Stout is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ward can do to turn this around?
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stout is looking for the choke from the back position but Ward is controlling his hands well. Oooh a big shot gets through from Stout. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. I would not like to be Ward right now.
Stout has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Ward has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Stout patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Stout working for the choke. Ward is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Ward trying to control the hands but Stout breaks the grip. Ward won't enjoy being in this position. Stout looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Ward is tapping - it's over boys! Stout picks up the submission victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Sam Stout! After winning the bout, Sam Stout thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
