Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Teddy Mcterror (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Charlie Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Teddy Mcterror!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Albert Achterberg and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith lands a two punch combo.


It looks like Teddy Mcterror has been cut.
Smith leaves Mcterror with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Smith shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Smith working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mcterror doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mcterror manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Mcterror is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Teddy Mcterror.
Smith tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Mcterror defends well and Smith ends up having to push Mcterror into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Teddy Mcterror hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Nice takedown defense from Smith. No joy for Mcterror on that attempt.
Smith tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Mcterror manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Smith tries to stand but can't do so whilst Mcterror controls his leg.
Mcterror has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Smith is working away from the top position though.
Smith prevents Mcterror from improving his position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

A close second round but Teddy Mcterror will probably get the nod - 10:9.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Mcterror successfully pulls guard.
Mcterror is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Smith wants to stand but Mcterror is controlling his posture from full guard.
Smith looking to sit in guard and control but Mcterror gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Mcterror is stalling in the full guard.
Smith keeping moving, preventing Mcterror from controlling successfully.

Teddy Mcterror has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Smith goes for a double leg but Mcterror avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Mcterror continues to drive forward.

Smith has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Mcterror uses from the top position.
Mcterror wants to stand and escape but instead Smith has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Mcterror shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Smith but Smith pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Charlie Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Teddy Mcterror.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Charlie Smith.
Well Smith has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
