Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frederick Frost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vyacheslav Kalashnikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kalashnikov is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by CMX - Kaikkivaltiaan Peili. Frederick Frost has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Vyacheslav Kalashnikov!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Fedor Mirinova and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kalashnikov throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Frost sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Frost takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Frost on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Kalashnikov. Kalashnikov obviously looking to wear him down.

Kalashnikov goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Kalashnikov fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Kalashnikov pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kalashnikov has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

I was talking to Frost's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Frost on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Kalashnikov cracks Frost with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Frost tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Kalashnikov pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Frost is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vyacheslav Kalashnikov!
During a confident post fight interview, Vyacheslav Kalashnikov thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
