Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tita Zen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Polish Engineer! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zen avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Zen throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Engineer shoots in but no luck this time. Zen walks into a straight right hand from Engineer. Engineer lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Engineer listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Engineer takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Zen blocks a jab. Engineer has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Zen throws a right and a left that Engineer avoids nicely. Zen catches Engineer with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Engineer misses with a head kick.
Zen connects with a solid leg kick. Zen swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Engineer dives in for a single leg takedown but Zen sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Zen misses with a hook to the ribs.
Zen wants a takedown.
Engineer manages to break the clinch.

Zen throws a nice looking combination but Engineer bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Tita Zen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Engineer gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Zen throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Engineer sees it coming and avoids it easily. Engineer throws a body punch but Zen moves out of range. Engineer lands a jab. Engineer misses with a low kick. This has been an exciting period of action! Engineer dives in and grabs Zen's left leg, looking for a takedown. Zen pushes down on Engineer's head and hops out. Tita Zen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Polish Engineer. A slow jab from Engineer misses its intended target. Engineer fails with a takedown attempt. Zen swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Zen looks to land a left hand but Engineer moved out of range nicely. Engineer slips a straight right by Zen. Zen throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Zen scores with a jab. Engineer shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Zen as he avoids it easily. Zen throws a hook to the side of Engineer's head but Engineer sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Zen lands a head shot. A thudding body kick lands there by Zen!
Engineer fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Engineer is trying desperately to land a takedown but Zen is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Engineer. A looping hook to the body misses from Zen. Engineer does a little dance to reset his feet. Engineer connects with a body shot that sends Zen's belly button to the back. Zen throws a right hand that misses
and Engineer counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Engineer stops Zen from getting back to his feet.
Zen is trying to maintain the position but Engineer is very close to passing his half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zen moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Engineer is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Engineer wants to control from the top but Zen keeps moving. Engineer postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Engineer content to stall in guard here. Zen has his hands on Engineer's head, controlling the position. Engineer looking to pass the guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Zen preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Engineer won't allow Zen to sweep him here. Engineer loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Zen lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Engineer! Engineer is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Engineer tries to lock up and control but Zen gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Zen unloading with bombs! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tita Zen dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
That kick from Zen tenderised Engineer's leg. Engineer is trying to keep his angry face on. Engineer misses the shot to the body. Sloppy strikes from Engineer. Those never looked like landing. Engineer moves out of range of the body kick from Zen.
Zen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Engineer tries to avoid it but Zen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Engineer to the ground. Engineer escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. A head kick misses from Zen. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Zen here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Zen throws a series of punches but Engineer avoids them all with ease. Zen looks to land a right hand but Engineer moved out of range. Nice body kick from Zen. Zen lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Engineer at a distance.
Zen looks to score with a jab to the body but Engineer is just out of range. Zen swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

That's one minute gone in the round. Engineer shoots in and gets a takedown into Zen's guard. Engineer is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Zen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Engineer manages to get himself to full guard.
Zen throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Engineer works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Zen with a flurry of punches that miss. Zen postures up and lands a big shot to Engineer's brow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Zen wants to control from the top but Engineer keeps moving. Zen missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Zen showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Zen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Engineer swivels though and keeps the full guard. Tita Zen overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Zen throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zen looking to sit in guard and control but Engineer gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Zen bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Engineer's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Engineer keeping full guard, as Zen tries to pass. Engineer lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Zen! Engineer landing strikes from the mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Engineer cracks Zen with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Zen wants to hold on but Engineer pushes him away. Zen keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Zen is rocked! Engineer lands a big shot there that rocks Zen but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Oh Zen is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Engineer loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Zen scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Engineer land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Engineer stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Polish Engineer! Polish Engineer spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
