Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brooks Buford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lonnie Poon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buford's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, country boy. Poon is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Jerk It Out-Caesars. Lonnie Poon will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Buford gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Poon.
Poon displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Buford throws out the jab.

Buford takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Buford tries to bum rush Poon with a series of wild strikes but Poon uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Poon closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Buford is trying to drag Poon to the mat but Poon just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Poon is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Buford is defending well for now.
Poon tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Buford tries for a takedown but Poon manages to get underhooks.

We've been hearing reports that Buford has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Poon feints a jab promting Buford to slip. Poon then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Buford slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

and Poon scores with a counter punch that sends Buford to the canvas! Poon smells blood - he's punishing Buford with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Buford has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
