Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Anthony Ventura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
23 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ilya Murometz!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murometz walks into a jab.
Ventura fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Murometz looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Ventura connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Murometz jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Ventura dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Murometz has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Ventura.
Murometz throws an overhand right that lands on Ventura's shoulder, as Ventura tries to avoid the shot.
Ventura lands a right hook to the body.
Murometz misses with a wild body shot.
Murometz tries to close the distance and clinch but Ventura swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

enabling Ventura to counter with a crisp jab.
Ventura with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Ventura lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Ventura thumps Murometz with a low kick.
That's one minute gone in the round.

Ventura throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Ventura looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Ventura looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Murometz has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Murometz throws a body punch but Ventura moves out of range.
Murometz misses with a left hand
and Ventura counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Murometz thinking.
Murometz looks winded!
Murometz uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Ventura.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Ventura uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Ventura throws a push kick but Murometz slaps the foot to one side.
Ventura cracks Murometz with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Murometz tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Ventura pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Murometz is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Anthony Ventura!
Anthony Ventura decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
