Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Oliver Wassef! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Archer looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Archer feints a jab promting Wassef to slip. Archer then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Wassef slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Wassef shoots in for a takedown but Archer shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Wassef goes for a double leg but Archer avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Archer continues to drive forward. Archer misses with an elbow over the top. Archer creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Wassef's defenses. Wassef looking for a takedown. Sterling Archer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oliver Wassef. Wassef can't get the takedown.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Archer lands with a slapping head kick. Archer wants to clinch but Wassef slips to the side and Wassef counters with a takedown into side control. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Archer wants to get back to his feet. The referee asks Wassef politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Wassef prefers to stall for the moment though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sterling Archer dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Wassef tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Wassef has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Wassef raining down hammerfists from mount.

They are putting on a show! Wassef pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

After the fight, Oliver Wassef was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
