The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Viktor Lagutenko and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Kolov.
Baird shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Baird wants to work for an arm triangle but Kolov is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Kolov trying to hold on to Baird's head to control him but Baird postures up.
Baird takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Baird throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kolov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Baird gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Kolov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Baird doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Baird manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Kolov wants to control from the top but Baird keeps moving.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
