Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joseph Baird (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Kolov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dan Kolov will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Joseph Baird! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dan Kolov! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Viktor Lagutenko and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick misses from Kolov. Baird shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Baird wants to work for an arm triangle but Kolov is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Baird takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Baird throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Kolov wants to control but Baird is keeping busy and won't allow it. Baird looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kolov actively working from the bottom here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Baird is thwarting Kolov's attempts to control the position. Baird lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Kolov is not content to let Baird control the position. Kolov is trying to control but can't.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Kolov looking for a guillotine here but Baird defends easily.

Baird is working Kolov over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Baird with a flurry of punches that miss. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kolov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Baird gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kolov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Baird doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Baird manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Baird with a flurry of punches that miss. Kolov keeping moving, preventing Baird from controlling successfully. Kolov looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Baird passes into side control.
Kolov looks winded! Baird looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kolov tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Baird easily slips into full mount! Baird lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Kolov tries to lock up and control but Baird gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Baird lands a heavy elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joseph Baird dominated that round. That's time! Baird's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Kolov forces Baird back against the cage and clinches. Baird really is a fat lump. Baird escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kolov scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Baird might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Baird wants to control but Kolov is keeping busy.
Baird preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Kolov trying to control the action but Baird is working from the bottom. Baird is trying to maintain the position but Kolov is very close to passing his half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kolov is working for a kimura but Baird is defending it quite comfortably.
Kolov wants to control but Baird is keeping him busy. Kolov looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Kolov working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Baird's thigh. Baird counters though and makes it back to full guard. Kolov wants to control from the top but Baird keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kolov stopping the sweep attempt from Baird. Baird is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Kolov tries to free his leg and advance position but Baird is retaining full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Kolov trying to control but Baird is working from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Dan Kolov. Kolov tries to sprawl but Baird drives through with a takedown into half guard. Baird wants to control but Kolov is keeping him busy. Kolov regains full guard. Nicely done. Kolov utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Kolov has an active guard here but Baird has managed to pass into half guard.

Dan Kolov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Baird decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Kolov is staying active underneath Baird, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Baird thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Kolov trying to control but Baird postures up.
Baird is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kolov sees it coming and defends easily. Baird is thwarting Kolov's attempts to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Baird sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Kolov defending well though. Kolov wants to control but Baird is keeping busy and won't allow it. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Baird throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Baird trying to control from half guard but Kolov is working away. Kolov makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kolov. Kolov is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Baird frees his head nicely. Oh but Kolov has switched to an armbar! Baird is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
