The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Matheus Silva and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gustaffson fails with the takedown
and Hicks counters with a nice double leg into side control. Gustaffson won't be happy with that.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Hicks is trying to get an arm triangle but Gustaffson is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gustaffson can't do much from the bottom here.

Hicks has hold of Gustaffson's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Gustaffson tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Hicks cranks the arm and Gustaffson screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Gustaffson, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
