Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rik Borburgh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Franz Ferdinand (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Franz Ferdinand is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rik Borburgh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Franz Ferdinand! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Bruno Hogan and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Borburgh shoots in and drives through. Ferdinand sprawls well. Borburgh misses with a double jab
and Ferdinand counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Borburgh is lucky that one didn't land flush. Rik Borburgh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Borburgh throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Borburgh ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ferdinand moves away. Borburgh tries to clinch but Ferdinand is having none of it. Borburgh tries to clinch up and Ferdinand counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ferdinand decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Ferdinand is thwarting Borburgh's attempts to control the position. Borburgh is trying to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Ferdinand in particular looking to stall. Ferdinand wants to pass the guard but Borburgh is defending well. Borburgh is not content to let Ferdinand control the position. Borburgh has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ferdinand is working away from the top position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. The fight stays on the outside here - Borburgh looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Borburgh tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Ferdinand counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like Rik Borburgh has been cut. Ferdinand dives in and scores a takedown into Borburgh's guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Borburgh keeping moving, preventing Ferdinand from controlling successfully. Ferdinand is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Ferdinand trying to control but Borburgh is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Borburgh being controlled here, momentarily. Borburgh might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Franz Ferdinand. Ferdinand gets the takedown into side control. Borburgh is breathing heavily. Ferdinand controlling the position. Ferdinand trying to control the position but Borburgh is working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Borburgh is looking for a sweep. Ferdinand trying to control the action but Borburgh is working from the bottom. Borburgh could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Borburgh tries to get back to half guard but can't. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ferdinand controlling the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Franz Ferdinand dominated that round. The cut man is working on Rik Borburgh's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Ferdinand closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Borburgh struggling a bit here. Ferdinand wants to lay and pray for a moment but Borburgh keeps working. Ferdinand controlling the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Borburgh is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Ferdinand asserts his dominance and retains side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ferdinand happy to just control the position for now. Franz Ferdinand has got the better of the ground game so far. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Franz Ferdinand was stalling too much, according to the referee. Ferdinand rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Borburgh moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Ferdinand dives in and scores a takedown into Borburgh's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ferdinand trying to control the position from guard on top but Borburgh is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ferdinand is breathing heavily. Borburgh has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Ferdinand should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Borburgh has tightened it up now! Ferdinand should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
