The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ashton closes the distance and clinches up with Bekoyan, looking for a takedown. Ashton pushes Bekoyan against the ropes but Bekoyan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Ashton shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bekoyan as he jumps to the side.
Ashton shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ashton showed some decent athleticism there.
Bekoyan makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Bekoyan.
Bekoyan is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Ashton frees his head nicely. Oh but Bekoyan has switched to an armbar! Ashton is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
