Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Phil Solomon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Austin Christopher! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Christopher tries to clinch there but Solomon circles away.
Solomon ducks under a wild hook from Christopher. Christopher fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Christopher is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Solomon's half guard. Christopher scoring with strikes to the body and head. Solomon blocking the ground and pound attempt from Christopher. Solomon keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Christopher thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Solomon regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Christopher. Christopher is looking to work some ground and pound but Solomon has wrist control. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Solomon holds on and takes a little breather. Christopher throws an elbow that misses. Solomon uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Christopher's guard. Nice move by Solomon!
 That's one minute gone in the round. Christopher looking for a sweep. Not yet Christopher, not yet. Christopher is looking to sweep but instead, Solomon has passed into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Christopher tries to get to full guard but Solomon has control of the leg. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Christopher can do anything to dispel that myth. Solomon missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Christopher gets back to full guard.
Christopher is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Christopher looks winded!
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Christopher lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Solomon! Christopher throws some wild stikes that Solomon manages to avoid easily.

Christopher landing shots from mount. Christopher throws a strike there. Solomon manages to avoid it well and slips a leg under to get to half guard.
Solomon slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Christopher throws a strike but Solomon rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
Christopher wants to reverse the position here. Solomon has hold of a leg though and he's dropped back looking for a kneebar! The fighters roll across the mat but Christopher is forced to tap! Christopher looks devastated but at least his leg points in the right direction.
