The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lesnar closes the distance and clinches. Lesnar has picked Kenshiro up - he's going for a ride! Lesnar dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Kenshiro looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Lesnar looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Kenshiro looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Lesnar throws a strike but Kenshiro avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Lesnar must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Lesnar wants to control from the top but Kenshiro keeps moving. Lesnar is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Lesnar trying to control the position from guard on top but Kenshiro is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lesnar might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Kenshiro haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Kenshiro throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's one minute gone in the round. Lesnar landing some decent shots from guard. Kenshiro is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lesnar is aware though and is defending well. Lesnar lands a couple of digs. Kenshiro working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Lesnar. Kenshiro keeping moving, preventing Lesnar from controlling successfully. Lesnar postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Lesnar's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Kenshiro had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Lesnar defends it easily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lesnar's corner is telling him to maintain position. Kenshiro is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lesnar is aware though and is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lesnar is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Lesnar thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Kenshiro looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Lesnar is defending well. Kenshiro quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Lesnar has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Kenshiro celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
