Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, G Dawg!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Andrei Zentsov!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Paul Tew and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zentsov tries to clinch but Dawg is having none of it.
Dawg on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
It looks like G Dawg has been cut.
Zentsov gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Zentsov.
Dawg gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Zentsov.
Dawg wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Zentsov has him pressed against the cage.
Dawg is looking to break free of the clinch but Zentsov has double underhooks.
Zentsov goes for a takedown attempt but Dawg pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Zentsov lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Zentsov tries to clinch up.
Zentsov looks to land a left hand but Dawg moved out of range nicely.
Dawg looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Zentsov is fending him off so far but Dawg persists. Nope, Zentsov circles away and we're back to standing.
Zentsov drives through and clinches with Dawg against the cage.
Dawg breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Zentsov gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Zentsov manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Dawg is in all sorts of trouble here.
Zentsov sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Zentsov can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Dawg is looking to escape.
Zentsov get's back to his feet.
Dawg takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Zentsov shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dawg but Dawg pushes him off and we're back to square one.
G Dawg has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andrei Zentsov.
Dawg stuffs the takedown.
Dawg shoots for a takedown but Zentsov saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Dawg is breathing heavily.
Zentsov misses with a few strikes there.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dawg throws a low kick but it's checked well by Zentsov.
Zentsov tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dawg swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Dawg darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Zentsov wants to control but Dawg is keeping busy.
The fighters are battling for position here. Zentsov manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Zentsov wants to sweep but no luck.
Zentsov is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Zentsov is on top in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dawg keeping moving, preventing Zentsov from controlling successfully.
Dawg knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Zentsov on the ground.
Zentsov decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Dawg, up you get!
Zentsov takes the fight into the clinch.
Zentsov is working for takedown but Dawg is calmly controlling the position for now.
Dawg wants to break the clinch but can't.
Zentsov drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Dawg gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Dawg can't break the clinch.
Zentsov ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Zentsov no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Zentsov bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dawg's guard.
Zentsov is pushing down on Dawg's leg trying to pass to half guard. Dawg is fighting to maintain full guard but Zentsov has managed to sneak the leg through.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Zentsov wants to control but Dawg is keeping him busy.
Dawg on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Dawg tries to get out of the position.
Still in half guard, Zentsov seems content to control.
Zentsov stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Dawg to get to his feet.
Dawg circles away from the clinch attempt.
Zentsov fails to land the takedown.
Zentsov throws a head kick that Dawg semi-blocks.
Dawg on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Dawg avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Zentsov tries to clinch but Dawg is having none of it.
Zentsov tries to clinch there but Dawg circles away.
Zentsov dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Zentsov darts in and clinches Dawg up against the cage.
Zentsov pulls guard successfully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andrei Zentsov dominated that round.
The cut man is working on G Dawg's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Zentsov throws a front kick that sends Dawg stumbling back into the cage.
Zentsov fails with an attempt to clinch.
Dawg tries to keep at a distance but Zentsov has taken the fight into the clinch.
Zentsov jumps guard and drags Dawg to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Zentsov pushes a forearm under Dawg's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Dawg is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Andrei Zentsov!
