Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Justin Bostic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Bedford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnny Bedford is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Justin Bostic! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johnny Bedford! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bedford has Bostic up against the cage in a clinch.
Bedford lands a left hand.
Bostic wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Bedford turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Bedford manages to end up in side control. Bedford wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bostic keeps working. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bostic is pushing Bedford's head away, looking to escape. Bedford manages to hold on to the position though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bedford is looking to take a break and control but Bostic is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Bedford tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bedford has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bedford wants to control but Bostic is keeping him busy. Bostic is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Bedford has just dragged him back down to the mat. Bedford is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bostic is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Bostic is trying to buck Bedford off.

He's worked his way up against the cage but Bedford has just dragged him back down to the mat. Bedford wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bostic keeps working. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Bostic managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Bedford.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bedford controls the position. Bedford wants to control but Bostic is keeping him busy. Bedford tries for a kimura but Bostic is defending well. Bedford is putting a hurting on Bostic here, landing some big shots from side control. Bedford stands up and beckons Bostic to his feet. Bostic staying out of range there. Bostic tries to keep at a distance but Bedford has taken the fight into the clinch.

Bedford is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Bedford is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Bedford managing to block the knees to the body from Bostic.

Bedford manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bostic looking to pass the guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bedford is on top in guard.
Bedford is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bedford throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Bostic tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Bedford is in Bostic's guard. Bedford lands a couple of digs. Johnny Bedford has got the better of the ground game so far. Bedford trying to control the position from guard on top but Bostic is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bedford wants to stand but Bostic has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Bedford postures up in Bostic's guard and throws a big left but Bostic blocks it. Bedford pushing down on Bostic's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Bostic is trying to stand.

Bedford can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bostic is looking to escape. Bedford putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Bedford is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Bostic to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Bostic shrugs it off. Bedford trying to control but Bostic is having none of it. Bedford is working for a guillotine from mount but Bostic frees his head quite easily.

Bedford closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Bedford lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Bostic down.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Bostic shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bedford but Bedford pushes him off and we're back to square one. Nice defenses there by Bostic. Bostic gets caught flat footed, as Bedford shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Bedford sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bostic's guard. Bedford looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bedford wants to take a breather but Bostic is having none of it. Bedford has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Bedford prevents Bostic from escaping the position.
