Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rick Sampson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tomasz Spreniak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sampson comes to the cage accompanied by "Off the Chain" by Serg Salinas. Tomasz Spreniak has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tomasz Spreniak! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sampson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Sampson looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Sampson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Spreniak counters with a left to the body. Spreniak lands with a thumping leg kick.
Spreniak shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sampson defends it nicely. Spreniak shoots in looking for a takedown. Sampson tries to sprawl out of it but Spreniak keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sampson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Spreniak shoots in but no luck this time. Rick Sampson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tomasz Spreniak. Sampson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Spreniak shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sampson sprawls well. Sampson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Spreniak gets slowly back to his feet. Spreniak tries to clinch there but Sampson circles away.

Sampson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Sampson is keeping the position for now. Spreniak slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Spreniak is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Sampson wants to get back to full guard. Spreniak is looking to advance position but Sampson won't allow it. Spreniak tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Spreniak landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Sampson wants to control but Spreniak is keeping busy and won't allow it. Sampson is trying to control but Spreniak passes into side control!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Spreniak lands some shots froms side control. Sampson looking for a sweep but Spreniak has passed into full mount! Oh no! Spreniak controlling the position easily from mount. Sampson tries to hold on but Spreniak pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Spreniak takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Sampson working to try and regain half guard.
Spreniak tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Let's hope that Spreniak has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

And that's the end of the fight! Tomasz Spreniak comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Spreniak has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
