Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Luigi Vercotti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Junior Dos Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vercotti comes to the cage accompanied by Poverty - Ennio Morricone. Junior Dos Santos will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vercotti thows a body shot but no joy.
Dos Santos darts in and clinches Vercotti up against the cage.
Dos Santos tries to pull guard but Vercotti holds him up against the cage and eventually Dos Santos drops back down to his feet.

Vercotti has Dos Santos pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Vercotti pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Dos Santos tumbling to the mat - Vercotti dives into Dos Santos's guard.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Dos Santos enables Vercotti to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Dos Santos manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Dos Santos is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
