Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
14 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Billy Bob!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, P.W. Herman!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Robert Douchet and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Herman moves into range and connects with a jab.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bob tries to pass the half guard into mount. Herman knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Bob thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Herman's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Bob misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
A nice combination there by Bob.
Bob thuds his right hand into Herman's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bob gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Herman regains guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bob accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Bob is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Herman is looking to stand up but Bob isn't so interested in that idea.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Bob closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Herman did well to prevent Bob getting side control.

Bob passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Herman!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Herman cracks Bob with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Bob has Herman pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Bob pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Herman tumbling to the mat - Bob dives into Herman's guard.
Herman wants to stand but Bob is controlling the position.
Herman takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Bob wants to control from the top but Herman keeps moving.

Bob has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bob, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
