Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jimmy James! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James moves in looking to clinch but Breneman pushes him off. James is looking to land body kicks. Breneman ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. The fight moves into the clinch position. Breneman escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
James tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Breneman manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. James has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Breneman is landing a low percentage of strikes. Breneman darts in looking for a takedown but James gets double underhooks and turns Breneman into the cage. Breneman is looking for a takedown. Breneman breaks from the clinch.
James clinches with his opponent.
James prevents a takedown attempt there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Adam Breneman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Breneman avoiding damage as James throws knees to the body.
A short left from James. James tries to land knees in the clinch but Breneman avoids the damage to the body. James with a knee to the head.
It looks like Adam Breneman has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Breneman has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Breneman wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but James has him pressed against the cage. A nice left hand lands by James.
James trying to control the position but instead, Breneman has worked for underhooks and has pushed James into the cage. James tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Breneman gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. James wants to get back to full guard. James is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Breneman's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Breneman's back! Breneman's coaches at Ballas Only have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position. Breneman prevents James from getting a body triangle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. James goes for a risky armbar from back mount and it's not paid off. Breneman escapes and is now in half guard on top. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! James wants to control but Breneman is keeping busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Breneman works his foot free and advances to mount. Breneman raining down shots from the mount! James really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. James keeps trying to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Breneman pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. James tries to hold on but Breneman postures up. James is squirming around, avoiding Breneman's attempts to control the action. Breneman landing strikes from the mount. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! BOOM! Breneman connects with a massive shot to the dome!
James is wriggling around trying to escape.
Breneman landing strikes from the mount and James is in trouble! Breneman loads up with a big shot that hurts James! He's pulled Breneman in close but Breneman has postured up and lands more strikes. Can James survive? More strikes from Breneman and James is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
