Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Trent Quo Titan Kirbs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Batistuta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kirbs might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Steve Miller Band - The Joker. Batistuta comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Deftones - You've Seen The Butcher kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Batistuta throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Kirbs thuds his right hand into Batistuta's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Batistuta is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kirbs doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Batistuta.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Batistuta working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Kirbs is looking to control Batistuta's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kirbs avoid being mounted?
Batistuta thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kirbs's head.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Batistuta in particular looking to stall.
Kirbs has hold of Batistuta's hands but Batistuta slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Batistuta maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Kirbs could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Batistuta has cracked it and Kirbs is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Batistuta!

A relieved looking Carlos Batistuta thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
