Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mirko Magnus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arakel Gevorgyan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Magnus's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, 2 pac upper cut. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Magnus stuns Gevorgyan with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Magnus misses with a looping right. Magnus connects with an inside leg kick. Gevorgyan closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Magnus quickly recovers to half guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Gevorgyan controlling the pace. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Let's hope that Gevorgyan has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Magnus really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Gevorgyan stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Magnus to get to his feet. Magnus bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Gevorgyan's head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Gevorgyan closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Magnus quickly recovers to half guard. Magnus avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Gevorgyan. Gevorgyan is working for a submission of some sort.
Magnus definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Magnus looking for submissions off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gevorgyan throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Magnus actively working from the bottom here. Gevorgyan stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Magnus scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gevorgyan moves into range and clinches up with Magnus. Gevorgyan has Magnus pressed against the cage, preventing Magnus from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Gevorgyan manages to break the clinch.
Magnus fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Gevorgyan on the side of the head. Gevorgyan takes one on the button. Gevorgyan darts in and clinches Magnus up against the cage. Magnus wants to get back to striking at distance but Gevorgyan won't allow it.
Magnus tries to circle away but Gevorgyan has him pinned against the cage. Gevorgyan turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Gevorgyan trying to control the action but Magnus is working from the bottom. Gevorgyan content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Magnus tries to get back to half guard but can't. Magnus wants to control but Gevorgyan postures up. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Magnus wants to control but Gevorgyan postures up. Gevorgyan remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Arakel Gevorgyan. Gevorgyan changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Magnus looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Gevorgyan moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Gevorgyan has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gevorgyan doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Gevorgyan ducks under a wild hook from Magnus. Magnus showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Gevorgyan.

Arakel Gevorgyan dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Magnus throws a sloppy head kick and Gevorgyan moves out of range easily. Magnus throws a looping overhand right but Gevorgyan ducks down to avoid it. Decent striking displayed by Magnus there. Magnus thows a left - swing and a miss! Magnus lands with a thumping leg kick.

It looks like Arakel Gevorgyan has been cut. Magnus scores with a decent looking hook. Magnus scores with a body shot.
Magnus gets caught napping as Gevorgyan dives in and scores a takedown. Magnus manages to retain guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Magnus throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Gevorgyan escapes and throws Magnus's legs to the side, diving into side control! Gevorgyan is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Magnus regains half guard, as Gevorgyan was trying to land strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gevorgyan wants to work for an arm triangle but Magnus is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Gevorgyan perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Gevorgyan stands up from half guard. Gevorgyan misses with a few strikes there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A looping hook to the body misses from Magnus. Gevorgyan does a little dance to reset his feet. Magnus scores with a crisp jab that stopped Gevorgyan in his tracks. Magnus scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Magnus lands a head kick. Gevorgyan smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Magnus with a nice cross. Gevorgyan gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Gevorgyan gets control of Magnus's arms and successfully pulls guard. Gevorgyan will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Gevorgyan manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Magnus manages to get himself to full guard.

The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Gevorgyan looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mirko Magnus will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Arakel Gevorgyan's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
A head kick from Magnus lands but Gevorgyan takes it in his stride. Gevorgyan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A looping hook to the body misses from Magnus. Gevorgyan does a little dance to reset his feet. A momentary lapse in concentration from Magnus enables Gevorgyan to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Magnus manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Arakel Gevorgyan has got the better of the ground game so far. Gevorgyan forces his way into half guard. Magnus looking for submissions from an awkward position here. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Gevorgyan uses his free foot to push down on Magnus's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Magnus. Gevorgyan controlling from the full mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. You get the feeling that Magnus really doesn't like being in this position too much.
