Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jim Beckett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sau Minneo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Minneo has chosen PowerTrip by Monster Magnet as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jim Beckett! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sau Minneo! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A nice leg kick lands there from Minneo. An inside leg kick lands from Minneo. Beckett jabs Minneo to the body, keeping him at a distance. Minneo tries a low kick but Beckett avoids it. Minneo attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Minneo shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Beckett defends it nicely. Beckett throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Minneo on the side of the head. Minneo looks to land a combination. Beckett sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Minneo throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Beckett throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Beckett ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Minneo goes for a double leg but Beckett avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Beckett continues to drive forward. Beckett pressing his opponent against the cage. A right hook to the body lands for Beckett.
Beckett pulls guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Minneo wanted to stand there but Beckett had control of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Minneo trying to control the position from guard on top but Beckett is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Beckett controlling the position. Beckett is looking for a triangle but Minneo pushes his legs off easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Beckett is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Minneo has his hands clasped together but Beckett extends and breaks Minneo's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Beckett.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jim Beckett! Jim Beckett seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
