Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Enzo Soprano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Enzo Soprano has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Enzo Soprano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sean Stone!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Paul Tew and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stone connects with a leg kick. Soprano looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Stone smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Stone misses with a left hand
and Soprano counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Stone stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Soprano.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Stone throws a leg kick
and Soprano counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Stone thinking.
Soprano drops his hands momentarily and Stone takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Stone closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Stone lands in his opponent's guard.
Stone looks winded!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Stone is fighting to break Soprano's control of his arms but Soprano is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Stone trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Soprano wants to control the position but Stone says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Soprano wants to improve his position but Stone is controlling well.
Stone thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Soprano moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Stone postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Stone with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Stone with a flurry of punches that miss.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Stone in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Soprano holds on and takes a little breather.
Soprano is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Enzo Soprano.
Soprano lands with a good body shot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Stone ducks under a wild hook from Soprano.
Sean Stone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
An inside leg kick from Stone misses.
Stone uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Soprano.
Stone moves out of range as Soprano strikes.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Stone lands a leg kick that knocks Soprano off balance momentarily.

Soprano gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Stone to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Stone working some strikes from top position.
Stone trying to control the position from guard on top but Soprano is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Stone might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Soprano haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Soprano is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Stone trying to control the position from guard on top but Soprano is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Stone has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Stone accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Soprano has Stone pulled in close to control his posture.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
A slow jab from Soprano misses its intended target.
Stone tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
We've been told by Soprano's head coaches at Qube Striking that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Some bone on bone action there as Stone checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Soprano lands a nice shot to the body.
Stone throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Soprano shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Stone eats them both and turns towards Soprano to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Enzo Soprano dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Stone uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Soprano.


It looks like Sean Stone has been cut.
Soprano digs a good body shot into Stone's ribs.
Enzo Soprano is winning the standup battle so far.
Stone tries to land a front kick but Soprano steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Soprano is looking to score with low kicks.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Stone is defended easily by Soprano.
Stone takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Soprano stuns Stone with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Soprano scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Soprano bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Stone! He dives into his guard looking to finish!


Stone is rocked!
Soprano has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Stone is still in real trouble! Can Soprano finish him?
Sean Stone has got the better of the ground game so far.
Stone is breathing heavily.
Soprano postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Stone covers up, he's hurt! Soprano keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Soprano and the ref steps in to end the fight! Soprano can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Enzo Soprano!
Our winner, Enzo Soprano, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
