Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Munster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuri Rook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rook has chosen Mr Krinkle as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 32 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jeff Munster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yuri Rook!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Chris Edwards and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rook shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Munster defends it nicely.
Rook shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Munster as he jumps to the side.

and Munster counters with a straight right hand.
Jeff Munster has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yuri Rook.
Munster tries to clinch but Rook is having none of it.

Munster tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Rook wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Munster is pushing Rook's head away, looking to escape. Rook manages to hold on to the position though.

Rook working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Munster wants to get back to his feet but Rook drags him back down.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rook throws an elbow but Munster slips to the side and avoids it well.
Rook tries to move to full mount but Munster actually manages to regain half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Munster pushes Rook off looking to stand but Rook dives back in and keeps control.

Rook is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Munster defends it well.
Munster moves into full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rook trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Rook keeps trying to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rook fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Munster avoids it really well and circles away.

and Rook counters with a nice double leg into side control. Munster won't be happy with that.

Munster throws a few strikes from the bottom but Rook takes advantage and mounts!

Munster is squirming around, avoiding Rook's attempts to control the action.

Rook has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Munster's face.


It looks like Jeff Munster has been cut.

Rook working for a submission but Munster is keeping him at bay.
Rook is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Munster can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Rook is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Munster to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Munster shrugs it off.
Munster sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Munster might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Rook is looking for a kimura but Munster is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Rook to get the leverage.

Munster wants to get back to his feet.

Munster is defending against the submission attempts here by Rook.
Rook uses his free foot to push down on Munster's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Munster.
Munster looks out of his depth in this position - he's holding on tight.
Munster is bucking up trying to escape but Rook cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
