Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Joe Higashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonathin Horvin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Horvin comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Bodies by Drowning Pool kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Higashi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jonathin Horvin! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Jorge Garcia and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good leg kick by Higashi there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Higashi stuffs the takedown. Horvin ducks under a wild hook from Higashi. Higashi lands a leg kick that knocks Horvin off balance momentarily. Higashi throws a lazy head kick and Horvin counters with a series of strikes. Higashi will be more careful next time no doubt. Higashi wants to clinch and Horvin counters by moving into the clinch. Horvin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Horvin shoots in looking for a takedown. Higashi tries to sprawl out of it but Horvin keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Higashi manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Higashi throws a lazy head kick and Horvin counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Horvin. Horvin has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Higashi is trying to keep an underhook but Horvin manages to get the takedown into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Horvin passes to full mount! Horvin dominating with strikes here. Horvin lands a big shot there that rocks Higashi but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Horvin controlling from mount. Higashi in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Horvin controlling from the full mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Horvin lands a couple of good shots and Higashi has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Horvin looking for the choke but no joy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Higashi looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. Horvin is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Horvin lands strikes to the head. Horvin working for the choke. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Higashi is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Horvin.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jonathin Horvin dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Higashi shoots in but no luck this time. Higashi tries to clinch but fails miserably and Horvin counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Horvin. Horvin ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Horvin no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Horvin with a couple of shots from the bottom there - nothing Higashi can't handle though.

Horvin is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Higashi frees his head nicely. Oh but Horvin has switched to an armbar! Higashi is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
