Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brandom Wellis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sheldon Jigster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Sheldon Jigster was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Brandom Wellis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Sheldon Jigster! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Sam Margolis and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed right hand from Wellis misses the target. Jigster shoots for a takedown but Wellis saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Jigster swings away with a leg kick that misses. Wellis misses with a hook. Jigster swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Wellis.
It looks like Brandom Wellis has been cut. Jigster fails with an attempt to clinch.
Jigster throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Wellis. Wellis throws out a loose jab but Jigster uses good head movement to avoid it. Jigster throws a solid leg kick but Wellis takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Jigster. Jigster bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Wellis misses with a jab, cross combination.
Jigster uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Wellis. Wellis throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jigster. Jigster closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Wellis's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jigster distracts Wellis with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Jigster has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Jigster trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Jigster trying to control the position from guard on top but Wellis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jigster accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Wellis working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Jigster. Jigster passes Wellis's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Jigster takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Jigster frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Poor strikes thrown by Jigster there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Jigster lands with some strikes. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jigster looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Wellis is breathing heavily. Jigster is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Jigster extends the arm and Wellis is forced to tap!
