Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Foster Ramqua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Merlin Yar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Saam Ante and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramqua is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Yar's half guard.
Yar wants to get back to his feet.
Ramqua seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Yar does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Ramqua seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Ramqua looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Foster Ramqua has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Ramqua feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
