Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hitmon Chan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Mmachi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mmachi has chosen Droideka- Get Hyper as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chris Mmachi!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Columbo Gatti and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mmachi manages to avoid it.
Chan looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Chan throws a wild body kick that Mmachi sees coming a mile off.
Chan wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Mmachi clinches with his opponent.
Mmachi jumps guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Mmachi wants to get back to his feet but Chan is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Mmachi is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Chan keeping hold of Mmachi's head, controlling as best he can.
Mmachi tries to pass the half guard into mount. Chan knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Chan is controlling Mmachi's trapped leg to prevent Mmachi from advancing to side control.
Mmachi looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Mmachi is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Chan controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
Chan wants to get back to full guard but Mmachi has mounted him!

Chan tries to hold on but Mmachi postures up.

Mmachi looking to ground and pound but Chan is blocking nicely.
Mmachi sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Chan tries to hold on but Mmachi pushes him away.
Mmachi wants to finish this one by submission but Chan is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Mmachi.
Chan on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Chan tries to get out of the position.
Mmachi punching from mount but Chan doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Chan wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Mmachi.
Chan holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Mmachi tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Mmachi throws some wild stikes that Chan manages to avoid easily.
Chan is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Mmachi thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Chan tries to lock up and control but Mmachi gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Chan is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Mmachi is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Chan is desperately trying to improve his position but Mmachi has a good base and remains in mount.
Mmachi trying to control but Chan is having none of it.
Mmachi misses with a head shot.
Mmachi throws some wild stikes that Chan manages to avoid easily.
Mmachi thowing shots but they're missing.
Mmachi is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Chan is surviving well by controlling Mmachi's body position as best he can.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Poor strikes thrown by Mmachi there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chris Mmachi dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Chan moves into range and clinches up with Mmachi.
Mmachi has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Chan after a bit of a struggle.
Chan tries to work over Mmachi's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Chan controlling the action here for a moment.
Chan gets through Mmachi's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
A short right from Chan on the inside.
Chan misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Mmachi.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Chan obliges.
Mmachi is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Chan pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Chan lands a nice knee to the body.
Chan prevents a takedown attempt there.
Hitmon Chan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Mmachi.
Chan lands with a right to the head.
Mmachi is breathing heavily.
Mmachi wants a takedown but no success here.

A short right hand to the side of the head by Chan.
Chan misses with a punch on the inside.
Chan lands a hook that snaps the head of Mmachi backwards.
Chan crunches a lovely knee into Mmachi's ribcage.
Chan blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Chan scores with a shoulder strike.
Chan softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Chan scores with a nice hook to the head.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Chan.
Chan throws a punch but it's blocked by Mmachi.
Chan lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Chan scores with a shot to the side of Mmachi's head.
Mmachi is rocked!
Chan misses with a hook from the clinch.
Mmachi is still on wobbly legs! Can Chan finish him?
Chan pushes Mmachi against the cage. Chan is working some dirty boxing. Chan pushes off with a quick right hook! Mmachi goes down! Mmachi tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Chan moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hitmon Chan!
